this song began as the chorus of "Psalm 139". I liked the contrast, but felt like it'd be better as two separate songs, so I let "Psalm 139" stay quite melancholy, and wrote some new, upward verses for "You Are Amazing". I still remember sitting down by the Willow pond with my bible and journal trying to capture how amazing God really is. This song falls ridiculously short, of course, but hopefully it's a start.
